nadīyā-godrume nityānanda mahājana
pātiyāche nāma-haṭṭa jīvera kāraṇa (1)
On the island of Godruma in the land of Nadīyā, the magnanimous personality Śrī Nityānanda Prabhu has opened a marketplace of the holy name for the benefit of all living beings.
Op het eiland van Godruma in Nadīyā, heeft de vrijgevige Nityānanda Prabhu de marktplaats van de heilige naam geopend, voor het welzijn van alle levende wezens.

prabhura ājñāya, bhāi, māgi ei bhikṣā
bôlô kṛṣṇa, bhajô kṛṣṇa, karô kṛṣṇa śikṣā (2)
[There, He calls out,] (“O persons of faith, O persons of faith!”) “On the order of Śrī Gaurāṅga, O brothers, I beg these alms from you: chant the names of Kṛṣṇa, worship Kṛṣṇa, and follow the instructions of Kṛṣṇa.”
[Daar, roept Hij,] (“O gelovigen, O gelovigen!”) “O broeders, in opdracht van Śrī Gaurāṅga, verzoek ik jullie hieraan gehoor te geven: chant de namen van Kṛṣṇa, vereer Kṛṣṇa, en volg de aanwijzingen van Kṛṣṇa.”
aparādha-śūnya ha’ye lahô kṛṣṇa-nāma
kṛṣṇa mātā, kṛṣṇa pitā, kṛṣṇa dhana-prāṇa (3)
“Being free of offenses, chant the holy names of Kṛṣṇa. Kṛṣṇa is our mother, Kṛṣṇa is our father, and Kṛṣṇa is the treasure of our life.”
“Laat overtredingen volledig achterwege, en chant de heilige namen van Kṛṣṇa. Kṛṣṇa is onze moeder, Kṛṣṇa is onze vader, en Kṛṣṇa is onze schat van het leven.”
kṛṣṇera saṁsāra karô chāḓi’ anācāra
jīve dayā, kṛṣṇa-nāma—sarva-dharma-sāra (4)
“Give up all sinful behavior and live your life with Kṛṣṇa at the center. The essence of all forms of religion is to show compassion upon all living beings and chant the holy names of Krṣṇa.”
“Geef alle vormen van zondig gedrag op en leid een leven waarin de dienst aan Kṛṣṇa centraal staat. Mededogen voor alle zielen en het chanten van de heilige namen van Krṣṇa, is de essentie van alle vormen van religie.”
